Realme 9i

The Realme 9i is a cheap mobile that delivers on all battlefields. It has all of the necessary features that a budget smartphone should have.  It boasts a large battery, a full HD plus display, a capable processor, and a 15-megapixel main camera, to name a few features. Is it, on the other hand, a worthy successor to the Realme 8i?

Let’s talk about the layout. The Realme 9i is a thin and light smartphone with rounded corners that make it easy to grip and operate.The back is constructed of dual prism effect polycarbonate material. When exposed to light, the device’s back panel displays vertical lines that go from top to bottom.

Because it catches fingerprints and smudges, it’s better to use the free jelly case that came with the box on the back of the phone.  The rising camera module is in the upper left corner, with the Realme branding below it. The device comes in a jail blue colour, and it also comes with a prism pack.

If you’re looking for something to look at right away, it has a large 6.6-inch display with a thin top and side bezels. While the chin is slightly thicker, the top left corner of the screen has a cutout for the selfie camera, as well as buttons and ports.

The power slash light button, which also serves as a fingerprint scanner, is located on the right side. The volume rockers and a triple card shade on the left side accommodate two nano-size sim cards and a micro sd card. All of the buttons are in a good place and are easy to access. The secondary microphone is located on the top, while the USB type-c connector, 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, speaker grille, and primary microphone for the display are located on the bottom, just like on the Realme 8i.

The Realme 9i has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080p, a refresh rate of 90hz, a pixel density of 400 PPI, and a maximum brightness of 418 nits. In any event, the screen is fantastic, with enough of brightness and vibrant colours. With the brightness set to the highest, you can comfortably see what’s on the screen even in bright sunlight outside.

The stereo speaker appears to be a missed opportunity in terms of audio quality, as the sound can get distorted at maximum volume and is heavy on the mids, making it ideal for voice calls but not for more immersive audio experiences like music listening. A 3.5-millimeter audio jack is still available in the later case.

now software wise the Realme 9i runs on android 11 skinned with Realme ui 2.0 the ui was easy to use and will not have and it’s just finding your way around especially if you’re a previous oppo or real user as usual it still does come with a few bloatwares and pre-installed third-party applications such as Facebook, Netflix, Lazada Group, Spotify and twitter that you can easily uninstall anytime.  the app drawer for the home screen is turned on but you can change it in the settings to the standard mode or simple mode and it also comes with plenty of customizable options such as the shape icons inbuilt wallpapers dark mode and eye comfort mode for reading.

On the other side, it will demonstrate the Snapdragon 600 series’ limitations. The games are playable, but don’t expect high-definition visuals or slowdowns during graphically heavy situations. You may unlock the phone with the fingerprint scanner on the side or by using your face. Both are dependable and quick in general. It has typical networking features including wifi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and dual-sim 4G LTE, among others. The Realme 9i has a big 5000mAh battery with 33-wire fast charging capabilities, which can get you from zero to 100 in one hour and ten minutes. The province of British Columbia.

Now focusing on the camera it’s got a triple camera setup at the back composed of a 50 megapixel main 2 megapixel macro and 2 megapixel monochrome depth sensor, now for selfies, there’s a 16 megapixel front camera checking out some sample shots you don’t get an ultrawide angle camera on the Realme 9i but you can shoot at the full 15 megapixel resolution and with that photos come out better as there are more details especially in the objects at a distance portraits had good edge detection and the phone lets you choose the level of background blur before taking a photo which is great

For macros, it gives you decent detail, but do not expect too much now. When it comes to low light, the realmi9i is okay. The images come out hazy. Using night mode helped capture details in the shadow better and the images were brighter as well. It also had some improvement in details and objects were sharper for selfies. Okay, so finally let’s talk about the price.

The front camera works best in daylight settings and the portrait mode creates good background separations for videos. it is capable of shooting 1080p at 30 frames per second and there is no stabilization, so expect some shaky footage. On its own, the Realme 9i is available for 1190 pesos and on its own we can say that this is a good device for casual use. It has a better modern chipset, namely the snapdragon 680 in place of the helio g96 in the 8i. However, the phone becomes harder to justify as a good update given how little it changes from its predecessor. The Realme 8i might still offer a little more value at the same price for many users.
