Design

The Xiaomi Redmi 9T is another budget smartphone by Xiaomi. Talking about the design, I think Redmi’s answer to the Xioami POCO M3. So, an excellent radial back, soft-touch plastic but a texture to it. It’s got this lovely kind of ribbed feeling. You have pretty prominent Redmi branding on the back.

You have a more traditional camera module. A 48 megapixels super quad camera and on the front looks like a Poco m3, and just like that budget smartphone have no issues with this design.

Audio & Unique Dual Speaker

It’s a nice sleek look. It’s got a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack IR blaster at the top and unique dual speakers that you don’t see actual speaker grills. A lovely look for this budget phone overall.

Full HD Display

We have a 6.53-inch corning gorilla glass display, and the key feature, just like the POCO M3 is full HD and a Full HD display, is something that I’ve appreciated from the Redmi 9T. Now, this Redmi 9T and means that Xiaomi is on the relentless push to bring better specs to lower prices. I think we’re not going to see another HD plus display from Xiaomi ever again. Yes, the bezels are a little bit bigger than your standard kind of flagship phones, but overall I’m pleased with the display on this Xiaomi Redmi 9T.

Performance

Performance similar to the POCO M3, we’re using the Snapdragon 662 on board with 4 GBs of RAM and has 128 GBs of storage, and we’re running MIUI global 12.0.1. Like the POCO M3 performance seems pretty good, but to be honest, I think 6 GBs of RAM would be ideal on these types of devices, but generally speaking, I think you’ll have no problems for the casual user playing any of these types of games like subway surfers.

Powering it all, we have a 6000 milliamp battery in Xiaomi Redmi 9T with 18-watt fast charging. So, it’s a little bit lower spec than the POCO M3, but it also means that this phone feels a little bit lighter in hand than that phone. Now don’t get me wrong, 6000 milliamperes is a remarkable capacity, so I think you will be fine and this phone will last for days on a single charge.

Last but not least, the cameras, as I said, we have a 48-megapixel main camera on this Xiaomi Redmi 9T with an 8-megapixel front camera, and I’ve taken several shots I’ve had this phone for the past couple of days the results that it’s giving me are very similar to the ones that I saw on the Xiaomi POCO M3. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s using the same sensor in this case. I think it takes really good selfies, a portrait selfie, and it does tend to overexpose just a little bit, but I believe in the right lighting, you can still get some quality shots. It’s not going to match, you know, the mid-range or flagship phones in terms of quality, but I think you’ll be pleased with the shots of the Xiaomi Redmi 9T.

It’s very cool to see Xiaomi has released another budget phone at the price of Rs 29,999 in Pakistan and so great to have had a chance to share it with you.
