Mobile Specification
Huawei Y9A can’t believe it’s been a year already since the y9s was introduced and this is the new Huawei Y9A, I’m going to tell you what my experience has been like using this device.
Box
On the box, you can see this device has 40-watt super-fast charging support boldly written on the front inside the box you can find a device wrapped in a plastic robot a tiny box containing a TPU protective case, and a sim card ejector too moving on we can find a USB C cable a 40 watts charger and an earphone.
Design
The camera design though I’m personally digging it, I like the fact that it doesn’t have a huge bump to cause it to work, when you placed it on the surface the knock is minimal, and when you pass your hand on it you can feel its lightly.
The device has a plastic back it comes in three distinct colors Silver, pink and midnight black. I have with me pink I think this looks beautiful.
This device feels comfortable in the hand with sleek curved edges glad I didn’t go with the sharp edges that I implemented in the y7p, I really enjoyed these curved edges. the Huawei Y9A is quite lightweight about 197 grams, with a width of 76.5 and a height of 163.5 millimeters.
Taking a closer look at the Huawei Y9A, on the right side you can find the power button doubling as the fingerprint sensor and also the volume rocker. Going down below, you can find the sim card ejector, USB C port, a single speaker, and the microphone. Finding the sim card ejector tray down below was a little bit surprising but it looks great.
On the left side there’s nothing, on the top you can find a motor-powered pop-up selfie camera, a headphone jack, and a secondary microphone.
Behind the Y9A is a quad-camera set up in a circular black cut out and the flash on the side and the Huawei branding of course below.
Elegant Display
Let’s start with the screen the display featured here is an LCD panel at 6.63 inches with a resolution of 1080p, this is a pretty decent display and personally, I like the notch-less display. I really take pictures so having the full view, the sides with a moderately bright panel using this device outside is very useful. You can consume all the content you want, irrespective of where you find yourself with no worries at this point.
Super Fast Charging
Writing about consuming content, this smartphone comes to a 4200 milliamp battery enough to satisfy all your consumption needs. it comes with a 40-watt super-fast charging in the box, yes you heard me right.
it supports 40-watt super-fast charging and the charger comes right in the box during my charge test this device fully charged to 100 in about an hour. so that means for example if you forgot to charge your smartphone at night when you wake up in the morning before you get prepared to step out you can fully charge your device as you take your shower or something and come back and the device will be full to go.
so the 40-watt super-fast charging is a really great feature I normally end my day with about 50% of battery on an average to low usage. So, I didn’t really charge my device each and every day battery life was amazing.
Mediatek Helio J80 Chipset
I normally get five to six hours of screen on time intensively playing games, this battery drained from 100 to 84%. when it comes to other internals this android smartphone has a Mediatek Helio G80 Chipset octa-core CPU the Mali G52GPU and runs EMUI 10.1 based on android10.
This device has 8 GBs of RAM and supports 128 GBs of storage externally you can expand up to 256GB.
Huawei Y9A Gaming Experience
The gaming experience was great, you can play most of your games with no lags at all While gaming Y9A doesn’t heat up. using the Huawei Y9A feels really comfortable for gaming. EMUI experience has been snappy, animations are fast, the interface is intuitive, there’s dark mode support and there’s an in-built screen recorder.
Swiping down from the top side of your screen with three fingers lets you take screenshots that are very nice, also like all new Huawei devices this android phone comes with an app gallery. Huawei has updated it with a bunch of new applications and also the search allows you to download almost all the applications you want.
Quad Cameras
Jumping to the cameras this Huawei Y9A has a quad-camera setup the first lens we have here is a 64-megapixel main camera that shoots at f/1.8, the second lens is a 2 megapixel, the next we have a 2-megapixel macro camera, and the last we have an 8megapixel ultrawide angle camera.
For the selfie camera, we have a 16 megapixel and shoots at f/2.2 for video. Y9A is capable of shooting 1080p videos, Huawei Y9A has an electronic image stabilizer so helps to keep the footage stable. the fingerprint sensor on the side works really fast.
To summarize this I’m a really big fan of the display the display is really good watching content with no notches or selfie cameras is really amazing. it gives you all the screen to consume your content the super-fast charging support of this device too is great. charging your device fully in about an hour as a really convenient feature.
it has decent cameras the device, in general, is really cool so I think the Huawei Y9A is a really decent device and I’ve enjoyed my one week of usage with this. Huawei Y9A’s price in Pakistan is Rs. 43,999.
